Good life: It’s probably the only part of north Crete were you actually get to see the real Crete. In addition, the climate in the area is perfect, mild, dry, never going lower than 10° C. Last time I surveyed the area it was mid Dec and I had a good 19° C warming my back. During summer cultural exhibitions called “Kornáreia” are organised. The sultana celebration is held mid-August. The Archaeological Museum (28430 23917) offers exhibits from Eastern Crete. The Folk Art Museum (28430 22861) displays a rich collection of local costumes and furniture.
