Sifnos is located in the Western Cyclades between Serifos, Kimolos and Paros. It is located about 80 nautical miles from Piraeus and has a permanent population of approximately 2000 inhabitants. It is crossed by four parallel mountain ranges while the soil consists of granite rocks, sandstone boulder clay or shale, limestone. Sifnos is famous for architecture of the settlements.
