SERIFOS is an island in the Aegean Sea belonging to Cyclades. The capital of the island is Chora (or Serifos), which is built at an altitude of 200 metres. The island started to flourish in the early 20th century, when they settled mining companies that exploited the rich substratum.
Serifos, although a small island, has many golden sandy beaches filled with the features of tamarisk that can satisfy every taste. The great story of the island gives you the ability to see many attractions, archaeological sites and museums. Serifos is ideal place for a holiday as it is able to offer you calm when you need but also the crowds of a tourist resort.
When you get there, don't forget to try local dishes of the island, revithada and Louza, a kind of special sausage like pastirma.
