History

Psara is Northeastern Aegean Island, Northwest of the island with a population of around 400 inhabitants. The Fisherman is known mainly from the great destruction caused in 1824 during the struggle against the Turks, which imprinted by many artists, including the painter Nikolaos Gizis and the poet Dionysios Solomos. The island has wild landscapes while a settlement is built in front of the port and is filled with white houses with tiles. Arriving at the port, you will see the Heroon, the monument where it is written on the names of the victims of the Holocaust.
