The island of Rhodes is the largest island of the Dodecanese and the fourth in Greece. Located approximately 350 km southeast of Athens, and 18 km southwest of Turkey. It has a population of around 115,000 inhabitants which makes it the most populous Greek Rhodes island after Crete and Evia.

The island of Rhodes is located at the crossroads of two major sea routes of the Mediterranean between the Aegean Sea and the shores of the Middle East, so as a meeting point of several civilizations has known many civilizations. Its strategic position brought to the island great wealth and made the city one of the leading cities of ancient Greece.

It has a long history which was created by all the different peoples who settled on Rhodes left their mark on all sides of the island's culture: art, language, architecture. So when you get there, you have to enjoy many gorgeous and very well preserved monuments. In 1988, the medieval town which has many different architectural elements with main influence the period of stay on the island of the order of the Knights of St John and the Ottomans, was recognized as a world heritage city. Today, is a living piece of the modern city which developed commercial, tourist and recreational activities while also includes residential areas. The natural environment is extremely rich with pristine beaches, lush ravines and traditional villages, while the island's tourism infrastructure is excellent thus giving the possibility to the visitor to pass unforgettable holidays.
